0:00Hey everyone it’s Kim Dao here, welcome back to my channel!
0:02So in today’s video, I’m going to tell you guys how
0:04how I’m going to plan a 1 trip in Japan.
0:06There is so much to do and see in Tokyo
0:09But I tried my best to put in as many things as I can
0:12including shopping, sightseeing, just chilling and relaxing in Tokyo.
0:15So in particular today, I want to introduce to you guys a website
0:19called Odigo, where you can organize and plan your travel to Japan
0:22Just to let you guys know, I am also going to be doing a little bit of work with Odigo
0:26whilst I’m in Japan.
0:27So I’m actually going to be travelling all over Japan~!
0:29But anyway~! Today I’m going to show you how to use this website.
0:32So first off what you do on the front page is that you can scroll down
0:36and you can read up a lot of information about travelling to Japan
0:39And there is a lot of information according to different areas.
0:42But what I’m going to show you quickly today is how to create your own trip.
0:45It’s pretty simple, so first off you have to put in where you are going and how long you are going for.
0:49And all you have to do on this page is add in areas where you want to go on your trip.
0:54So for example, I’m just going to search up Shibuya~
0:56and then I’m going to add in some places that I would recommend you guys to see
1:01and then adding that to my trip~!
1:02And then you can just go through different days
1:04And then put in what you want to travel, into each day just to organize everything.
1:07So now I’m going to be telling you guys what I recommend you do on your first week in Tokyo!
1:12Of course, you can change things around because not everyone is going to do the things that I would want to do.
1:17So let’s start the 1 week in Japan!
1:19On the first day, I recommend you guys to go to Shibuya
1:21So in Shibuya there are a lot of places you can shop in
1:24For example, Shibuya109 or you can go to the central Shibuya area
1:27And also! Don’t forget to check out Hachiko in front of Shibuya station.
1:31From there you can either walk, or you can take the train to Harajuku.
1:34The first place to go once you get to Harajuku is definitely Takeshita Dori.
1:38And this has many many cheap shops down this area, and also a lot of cool things
1:43So whilst you’re in Takeshita Dori why don’t you try out some crepes?
1:45I personally think the clothes in Harajuku are very young,
1:48But if you like more mature clothing then check out Omote Sando.
1:51which is just about a 5 minute walk away.
1:54Also there are a lot of funky things around the Harajuku / Omote Sando area
1:57Like the Kawaii Monster Cafe
1:59On day 2, I recommend you go to Ikebukuro and Shinjuku
2:01If you guys have been following me for a while, you would know that I love Sunshine City
2:05because hey, they Pokemon Center is there!
2:07But inside Sunshine City it’s not just that, there are a lot of shopping areas in there as well
2:11and everything is quite cheap!
2:13If you are into Anime things you can check out the Animate there
2:16as well as the Otome Road, there are a lot of Anime goods around that area.
2:19Also Sunshine 60 Dori which is just the street outside Sunshine City
2:24has a lot of game centres and a lot of restaurants you can enjoy yourself at.
2:28From there I recommend you go to Shinjuku. It’s a bit hard to navigate Shinjuku so if you get lost it’s totally fine.
2:33I find that getting lost is how you discover new places anyway~
2:37But there are a lot of funky things you can do in Shinjuku
2:39for example, the Robot Restaurant.
2:40If you have time and are on a budget, you can also visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building
2:45You can go all the way up, and you can have a nice view of Tokyo, and it’s free!
2:50On the 3rd day of Tokyo, I recommend you go to the other side of Tokyo
2:53just to experience a different feeling.
2:55First up I recommend you go to Ueno because there are quite a lot of things you can do there.
2:59For example there’s a shrine, there are museums and there is also a zoo there.
3:03You can also head down to the street Ameyoko
3:05And they have a lot of things there, for example a lot of shopping, you can also eat a lot of street food which is amazing there!
3:12After that, I recommend you go to Asakusa
3:14So Asakusa has more of a traditional feel to Japan and it’s absolutely beautiful.
3:18I definitely recommend you guys walk down the Nakamise shopping district
3:22Also there is a lot of street food.
3:24If you walk all the way down to the end of the street, you’ll end up at Sensoji Temple.
3:27Around this area there is even more street food, and you can also go and check out your fortune.
3:32After that I recommend you go visit the Tokyo Sky Tree.
3:34Day 4, I recommend you go to Yokohama
3:37Yokohama is about half an hour away from Tokyo
3:39and it’s away from the busy area.
3:41Also I definitely recommend you go to the cup noodle museum!
3:44And then you can head to the Yokohama Minato Mirai area and this is where you can shop!
3:48There’s a lot of nice cafes where you can chill~!
3:50On Day 5, I recommend you go visit Tokyo Disney Sea.
3:53So Tokyo has 2 theme parks, there’s Tokyo Disney Land and Tokyo Disney Sea.
3:57I personally recommend Disney Sea because I find it’s more fun
4:00Disneyland is more for kids, but DisneySea is more for adults
4:03It’s such a beautiful place and the souveniers are super duper cute!!
4:07On day 6 I recommend you spend the day in Akihabara if you love anime and manga!
4:11There’s so much to do there that can take up the whole day.
4:14There’s lots of fun places to visit like there’s a shop for gatcha machines if you love them,
4:18also game centres, you can spend so much time in a game centre in Japan!
4:21Also of course, anime stores to stock up on your anime and manga goods!
4:25Also while you’re there, you can also check out a maid cafe if you are interested
4:29I guarantee it will probably be the weirdest experience of your life
4:32But it’s quite fun and it’s fun to go with a group of friends.
4:35On your final day in Japan, I usually recommend you to use this day to go back to places where you
4:40want to go back to, to do some last minute shopping, to do some last minute sightseeing~
4:45But if you have time, I recommend you go to Ebisu just for a really chilled out morning.
4:50There’s lots of nice cafes around and I really recommend the Ebisu Garden Place
4:54Finally when you are heading to the airport, I really do recommend you go to Tokyo Station
4:58because there are just so many shops there and you can also do some last minute souvenier shopping.
5:03From Tokyo station to Haneda and Narita airport is very convenient because you can take a bus.
5:07So that’s it for this video, hope you guys found it helpful
5:11and also just want to let you guys know that from the Odigo website, you can download
5:14your whole trip in a PDF format and transfer it to your phone. From there you can also organize
5:20your trip better because it tells you what train stations you have to get to.
5:23Or, it lets you print it out in a pamphlet format which is super handy to have
5:26Incase your phone dies, because let’s be real it always happens when you need it the most right?
5:31Please give this video a thumbs up if you found it helpful and hopefully you guys will have a great trip to Tokyo if you do come!
5:36And also in the comment box below I would really appreciate if you guys let me know
5:40if you know any cool places in Japan I can visit.
